Mr Subtlety Fucker
jacobolus: what would this mean, practically? "each of us personally would like to see the XHTML2 and HTML groups brought together or at least the overlaps removed."
jacobolus in http://intertwingly.net/blog/2008/12/15/Co-Chair-HTML-WG
jacobolus: is that just xhtml2 guys being sad at being irrelevant, and wanting to do something useful?
Hixie: i dunno, ask rubys :-)

Don't you think "Mr. Subtlety Fucker" is slightly extreme? What does that even mean? It seems like a legitimate question. XHTML does seem pretty irrelevant these days, from the perspective of an outside observer. It's been around for a long time and has precisely no traction in public-facing web. So what would bringing the groups together mean, practically?
Good question, Mr last week doesn't know the answer, he was taken by the cadence of the phrase "subtlety fucker" which appeared from somewhere unknown. perhaps it was generated by the pathos of your statement in regards to the XHTML saddos. Indeed your question is legitimate, mr last week looks forward to reading Sam Rubys response.
